About
My BackgroundIn my early days as a restaurant manager, I became a turnaround specialist for distressed restaurants because I was quickly able to diagnose the main problem: how the employees were being treated.
Treat employees badly and they treat customers bad and soon customers don’t come back. The solution was simple and easy to me: just listen to the employees, find out their issues and treat them with respect.
Now I Use the Same Principles to Help People Exploring Franchising
I do the same with every franchise candidate I work with. I listen, figure out what the issues are and help solve problems. And yes, I will tell you that a franchise is not right for you if that is what we discover together. Great franchisors are looking to award you the opportunity to purchase their franchise; they aren’t looking to just sell you something, and neither am I.
I’ve always wanted to own my own business. I became a fan of the Rich Dad/Poor Dad series, which explains how to start a journey to wealth by teaching you the right mindset, accounting basics and wealth building strategies starting at square one.
So, in addition to an engineering degree, I obtained my MBA, which spurred me forward to pursue business ownership. After 15 years as an engineer, I took the business ownership leap.

I Help You Avoid the Same Mistakes I Made and a Whole Bunch More
I made it clear that a major criterion for a franchise was to work from home.
OOPS
I followed one recommendation and invested in a business-to-business sales & service franchise that required me to travel every day and sell. I completely ignored my major criterion. Boy did I mess up.
Now, I’ve been an engineer for 15 years, and like most engineers, I think I can do anything, including sales. I can now humbly say a salesman I am not! Plus, I was traveling every day – the one thing I didn’t want to do.
What I learned through this experience is that I really enjoy investigating business opportunities and helping other prospective franchise owners avoid going through what I went through.
I hope I can help guide you on your journey.
